Jean Voneman Mikhail lives in Athens, Ohio, with her Egyptian American husband and two Guatemalan American kids so go figure… She has published in ONE ART, Sheila Na Gig Online, The Northern Appalachian Review, Gyroscope Review, New Verse News, Odd Pocket Press and others. She was nominated For Best of the Net in 2025 by Eucalyptus Lit.
Heather Kays is a St. Louis-based poet and author. Her books include Genomes & Lies (Cajun Mutt Press, 2026) and Myths in the Feed (Crying Heart Press, 2025), which sold out six times in its first three months and made Kays the press’s best-selling author. In 2025, she received two Pushcart Prize nominations, and four of her poems were named semi-finalists in the 2026 James H. Nash Poetry Contest. Kays is the founder of The Alchemists, an online writing community for poets and writers. Her work has appeared in ONE ART, Cosmic Daffodil Journal, Chiron Review, The Literary Underground in Conversation, The Rye Whiskey Review, SHINE Poetry Series, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency.
john compton (b. 1987) is a gay disabled poet. he lives in a nonexisting town in kentucky which still holds its name, with his husband josh, alongside their dogs, cats, & mice. his latest books are: my husband holds my hand because i may drift away & be lost forever in the vortex of a crowded store published with Flowersong Press (dec 2024); & house as a cemetery published with Rebel Satori Press (march 2026).
Susan Vespoli believes in the power of writing to stay sane. Over the years, she’s taught Montessori three- to five-year-olds, ENG101 to community college students, and currently leads wild-writing circles and poetry classes for writers.com and 27Powers.org. Her poems have been published on ONE ART, Anti-Heroin Chic, New Verse News, Rattle, Gyroscope Review, and other cool spots. She’s the author of four poetry collections. Her chapbook, The Gut Is an Aquarium of Odd Sea Creatures, was a finalist in The Poetry Box’s chapbook contest and will be published in December 2026.
