THE SECURITY GUARD
Dad retired last week after 30 years
He got no standing ovation
No career highlights playing on a scoreboard
No statue or plaque
No one asked him to say a few words
Nothing was named after him
And they didn’t retire his uniform
They just threatened legal action if he didn’t return it
