Left Turn
Ever since the accident, I refuse
to make left-hand turns.
It’s always my fault.
The oncoming: unseen, speeding
to strike me; retribution
against my presence,
spins me against the world,
frightening the dog.
No one hurt, but the marks remain.
The turn is always my fault.
