Note to Self
One day relent
the next
rebel;
there is no one
for whom
all is well.
*
If I Were a Museum
If I were a museum I would keep
a candle burning in the back room
to remind myself that art
is a word
implying not just
ingenuity but courage.
and snow is a word that disappears.
*
Maybe Listening
Maybe listening and learning
are essentially the same,
and both might be
a sacred art,
the healing stones, the guiding stars,
the secret language of the heart.
