stay on the path
the paved one
right here
clear, flat cement
put there on purpose
for you to walk on
stay off the grass hills covered in
those crunchy brown leaves
no matter how delicious
they sound under your boots
they are not for walking on
they cover divots
ripe for tripping
and falling
and rolling
to your death
or worse
