To the Livestock Truck Broken Down On the Side of the Highway
All I can think of
are the pigs, cold
in their stalls, wide
flanks bare to the
November morning,
the little hairs on their
backsides blowing
in the wind.
Some might say
they are built
for it, but I think
we all appreciate
warmth, the comfort
of a closed door.
